Shipping information, New orders are no longer being accepted & The H. thomsonii spectacle

04-12-2025 I've now gone through all the emails and chat messages on the website. If you haven't received a response yet, try reaching me another way (chat preferred). I've had it happen before that it doesn't get through the (spam) filters. Especially with a lot of new customers, it's more likely I've missed something this time. Banner: Thank you for the incredible Black Friday Sale! You guys are incredible. Beyond all expectations. No new orders are being accepted! The plan is to have everything shipped by Wednesday, December 10th, with the vast majority shipped by Monday, December 8th. I will prioritize international shipments. I'll leave it at that for now, I'm going to sleep. The Thomsonii spectacle will come later. Older: The Black Friday sale was a huge success. Or rather, it got a bit out of hand.

The number of orders received is more than I normally process in a month. And my goal is to have everything completed within two weeks. I work 7 days a week, from morning until night, for this. And unfortunately, I can only do one thing at a time. Because my email inbox and other communication channels are quite full of messages, it now takes several days for me to respond. If I see in the title that it's important, I try to take action. If it's really important, please call me at +31 6 555 107 19 (English and Dutch).


I understand that everyone wants to receive their order as quickly as possible, so I'm working incredibly hard to achieve this. Unfortunately, complications always arise with DPD post that are beyond my control. For example, yesterday was one of those moments.

Almost everyone just waits patiently. But I'm also receiving angry messages, which is really unnecessary. The first week after the Sale has just begun, and the first orders have already been shipped. And another buss full of them is leaving today.

I can't do any more than I'm already doing. I really need the five hours of sleep I have left each day.


Because Mon/Tue/Wed are shipping days, I've barely checked my email these days. I've chosen to prepare the orders for shipping instead of sending emails.

In the time I've spent on this, among other things, I could have finished several orders. Please also, take longer shipping times into account. This time of year, with the upcoming holidays, shipping is always extra busy. Furthermore, I wasn't the only company running a discount. Many companies, including myself, delivered a significant number of packages at the beginning of this week.


I'm now continuing processing the orders to get as many out as possible today (the last shipping day of the week). I don't expect to be back on the boat until late tonight. If I still have the energy, I'll update this blog post then. Otherwise, I'll update tomorrow. That also applies to all the unanswered messages.
