Hoya crassipetiolata is a relatively new and exciting Hoya species, only formally described in 2017. Its native range is specifically Vietnam.
In its natural habitat, it grows primarily in the wet tropical biome, typically as an epiphyte on mossy trees, especially on very steep slopes composed of solid limestone in primary evergreen broad-leaved humid forests. This indicates it thrives in environments with high humidity and good air circulation.
